Q1: How to generate reports in BellaDati?

A1:  Reports in BellaDati are build with views. Each view can be used for different type of visualisation (chart, table, GEO map, KPI label, media or filter view).


Q2: How to collaborate on preparation of one report with multiple users?

A2:  Reports can be shared between different users and user groups. Users can add comments and attachments to reports and values.


Q3: Can administrators specify user permissions and content access?

A3: Yes, you can restrict access to attributes and indicator only for selected users or add permissions based on lookup table.


Q4: Does BellaDati provide possibility to define filters on user side? How to manipulate filters?

A4: Yes, users can set filter for one single view, globally for the whole report or create filter components.


Q5: Does BellaDati provide export of records to Microsoft Office applications and other major formats?

A5: Reports and dashboards can be exported to Excel, PowerPoint presentations or PDF.


Q6: How to do drill-downs for data discovery analysis?

A6: Users can define drill-down path in the data set. This drill-down path will be used in the tables. Users can also do custom drill-downs in tables and charts. -we need to create new article in documentation for this.


Q7: How to rapidly change the representation and emphasis of the charts?

A7: In the chart settings, there user can change type of the chart, date interval, drill-downs, filters or conditional formatting..


Q8: Which actions are supported in BellaDati mobile app?

A8: List of actions available in Android and iOS mobile app.


Q9: Does BellaDati provide “what-if” and predictive analytics?

A9: BellaDati provides basic statistical functions. For more sophisticated forecasts should be used tools like SAP Hana to which BellaDati provides native connector. For what-if analysis should be used variables and formula indicators.


Q10: Can BellaDati cooperate with survey questionnaires?

A10: BellaDati contains data collection module which allow BellaDati users to create their own surveys and automatically push the results into BellaDati.


Q11: How to create new columns during the import?

A11: New columns can be created on import settings page.


Q12: How to add new columns into the import template?

A12: If the structure of data source changes, there can be used Get new columns function which will preserve previous column settings and add new columns.


Q13: From which data sources can users consume data?

A13: BellaDati provides native connectors for more than 100 different data sources. Complete list can be found here.


Q14: What if my data are defined in XML format?

A14: BellaDati provides import of XML files. This import can be done manually or scheduled automatically from FTP server.

 

Q15: How do you connect to SAP web services?

A15: You can connect to SAP web services via HTTP connector. Exact steps are described in our documentation in section Connecting to SOAP web Services.


Q16: How do you connect to SAP BW?

A16: Data from SAP BW can be imported by using OLAP Server connector.


Q17: Can reports be saved or stored for future offline access?

A17: Reports and dashboards can be saved for offline access in BellaDati mobile app.


Q18: Is it possible to generate reports and email them as PDF?

A18: Yes, reports and dashboards can be exported as PDF, PowerPoint presentation or Excel file. Users can also schedule an email by which exported report will be sent.


Q19: Can BellaDati provide partial/full data refresh or based on data changes?

A19: Yes, data displayed in report is automatically updated after any data change. For more details go to BellaDati documentation.


Q20: Does BellaDati support analytical functions such as aggregation functions (e.g. average, sum, min, max etc.).

A20: Yes, all aggregation functions can be set in indicator settings.


Q21: Are users able to set customized data conditions that sends alerts to users when condition is met?

A21: Yes, users can define conditions based on which alerts with event details will be sent to the user's email.


Q22: Can import from various databases be automated (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly)?

A22: Yes, imports can be scheduled in any frequency (from seconds to years).


Q23: Is BellaDati user able to build custom scripts and expressions for managing complex calculations?

A23: Complex calculations can be done via indicator formulas. Go to formula reference guide to learn about aggregations in formulas or visit formula use cases to see examples, how indicator formulas can be used.


Q24: Which data visualisation options are available?

A24: For data visualisation are available charts, tables, GEO maps or KPI labels.


Q25: Does BellaDati provide inbuilt ETL functions for cleaning, slicing and normalization of data?

A25: Yes, all types of data transformation, cleaning and normalization can be done via transformation scripts.


Q26: Does BellaDati provide ability to integrate with Active Directories or SSO for login authentication?

A26: Yes, both SSO and Active Directory authentication are available. SSO documentation needs to be added.


Q27: How many views can be added into one report?

A27: Number of views in one report is unlimited. In regards of good performance, we recommend to do not exceed limit of 8 views per report.


Q28: Can users use global variables in BellaDati?

A28: Users in BellaDati can use report variables which can be passed in URL.


Q29: Can report be remapped to different data set?

A29: Yes, steps how to do it are described in BellaDati documentation.


Q30: Different dashboard is displayed instead of default dashboard. Why?

A30: This is feature. Application always displays last viewed dashboard which is stored in the session. Default dashboard is displayed after the login. You can set the dashboard as default for entire domain, user or user group. Steps how to set default dashboard are described in BellaDati documentation.


Q31: Can administrator disable some report features from specific users or user groups?

A31: There are 4 different control type groups (all controls, limited controls, minimal controls, no controls) for report viewers. Each control type group enables different report features. Actions which are available for each control type are described in  BellaDati documentation.


Q32: Is there support for non-structured data sources like MongoDB in BellaDati?

A32: Yes, BellaDati provides native connectors for Hadoop and Mongo DB.


Q33: What languages are supported by BellaDati?

A33: Currently BellaDati is translated to various languages, please see BellaDati documentation for complete list.
