This function can be used to load source data from a different data set or from the actual data set, but with a custom configuration. The function is especially useful in a case, when the report is built on top of pre-aggregated data, which were loaded with a cube from a big data set, and the user would like to see to original source data located in the big data set.
ENABLING CUSTOM SOURCE DATA IN CUBE (source)
Custom source must be enabled in cube's Execution schedule
Custom source data can now be linked with the data set used as destination of your Cube.
Enabling custom source data (Destination)
Custom source data can be enabled in the data set advanced settings:
Custom source data function is not available when it is not enabled in advanced settings.
Displaying custom source data
Custom source data function is available for the report tables:
- Open table settings
- Select the option Custom source data
In the newly displayed window there the users can:
- Enable/disable custom source data for the selected table
- Select source data set
- Select source cube
- Add columns to be displayed
Adding new columns
Select the attribute or indicator to be added. List of selected column is displayed in the below table:
Changing context of the displayed values
You can click the column header to open the column details which will allow you customize the values displayed in the source data:
- Column Name
- Formula indicator for loading values (supports standard values, e.g. crossValue(), lastValue() etc.)
- Link - Allows you to create link for example to different report and pass Custom Source Data value as parameter. Link icon will be displayed in Custom Source Data table

New columns can be added as new indicators. New column setting allow you to set:
- Column Name
