BellaDati IoT Console needs to be enabled by the license key. Contact BellaDati Sales at sales@belladati.com to get the correct license key.

Configuration

When the user opens the IoT Management Console for the first time, data sets used configuration and metadata storage are automatically created.

Configuration in versions 1.2.4 and older

Prior to version 1.3, the configuration data set had to be created manually. For instructions, expand the box below.

The configuration of the IoT Console is stored in a Data set. The XML backup of the data set can be downloaded from here. It has to be imported into an existing domain. Once imported, the user has to specify the ID of the data set in the domain parameter iot_console_audits_ds_id. Click here to learn how to add domain parameters.

Adding New Audit

After setting up the domain, the user can open the IoT Management Console and connect to the Audit module of an already-running IoT Collector. The IoT Management Console can be accessed by opening this URL: URLofBellaDati/iot, where URLofBellaDati is the URL or IP address:port of your BellaDati instance.

The audit can be added by clicking on Connect to new IoT Data Collector in the top left menu.

Next, the user has to fill in the connection parameters, namely:

  • Name of the Collector
  • URL of the Collector Audit module (in case the IoT Data Collector and BellaDati BI are running on the same server, use http://localhost:port (e.g. http://localhost:8001))
  • Username of Audit administrator: admin user of audit module
  • Password of Audit administratormodule admin

As the last step, the user has to click on Add. The connection parameters will be saved and the Dashboard will be loaded automatically, showing an overview of the IoT Collector.

Switching Between Audits

The Console can be used to manage more than one IoT Collector. Users can switch between the Collectors by using the drop-down menu in the top left corner of the screen. They can also use this menu to add another Collector.

Navigating in the IoT Management Console

The Console consists of five main pages:

  • Dashboard - provides the overview of the Collector, its status, and available modules. Learn more.
  • Modules- displays a list of audits, receivers and senders. Users can open details of the selected module by clicking on the row.
  • Devices - users can see and manage all devices which are or were sending data to the IoT Data Collector. Learn more.
  • Monitoring - users can monitor all the devices which are or were sending the data to the IoT Data Collector. Learn more.
  • Configuration - can be used to configure currently selected audit. Learn more.
