Nested subsets allow you to create a custom drill-down structure based on one attribute column. The levels of the nested subsets can be defined as standard attribute members or custom members.

Creating a nested structure

The nested structure can be defined on the screen with the subset members:

Click the button "+" to create a nested structure (add a new nested level to the subset):

Add members which will be included in the lower level of the selected attribute member (the same steps as when creating a new subset):

Click button Back to see the nested structure:

When a subset with nested values is applied in the table, drill-down is predefined based on the nested structure:

Values from the upper levels of the nested structure inherit the values from the lower levels.

 

Adding custom members to the nested structure

Using custom members in the nested structure allows you to create your own nested structure with the values which are not present in the subset attribute.

 

New custom members can be created directly in the subset definition:

  1. Enter the new custom member value:
  2. Click the link containing "Custom value":
  3. Click the button Add to add the new custom member to the subset:
