Introduction

In this tutorial, we will explore the functionality that allows for the use of content, such as icons and images, across multiple domains. This capability facilitates efficient and convenient utilization of shared resources, including examples featuring images available in all domains. Let's delve deeper into how this feature works and the advantages it offers.

Enable Media Sharing

To start, you should create or navigate to the domain you want to use for sharing media files.

Then, go to the domain settings page. In the right panel, find the "Public media access" option and click on it. In the dialog box, click OK.

Accessing content domain

In order to make images accessible from any domain, they must be located within the "Common" domain. Files uploaded in the "Folders" section will be accessible via their file ID. For instance, to embed an image within an IMG tag attribute, you can use a link in the following format: "/bi/media:showimage/imageID", where "imageID" corresponds to the ID of the required image. To find the image ID, you can utilize your browser's tooltip by hovering over the link provided by the browser. In the photo below, the highlighted area is marked in green.
